Data Migration Specialist
- Daily Rate: £500-£600 per day (outside IR 35)
- Location: Halifax, HX1 (full time remote work available)
- Job Type: Contract (up to 4 days per week)
We are seeking a Data Migration Specialist for an immediate start on a project outside of IR35. This role involves critical data extraction and transformation tasks, essential for the successful migration of data to new systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with MOSAIC and will work closely with our ICT&D team to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data migration processes.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Collaborate with the nominated CMBC ICT&D team members to oversee the data extraction from legacy systems, ensuring appropriateness, adequacy, and adherence to the specified timeframe.
- Utilise supplied Access Group migration documents and expert knowledge to support the transformation of data by ICT&D team members from legacy systems and other data sources into the required format.
- Ensure that transformed files are supplied in the correct format, location, and within the timeframes required by the project plan and documentation for each data migration iteration.
- Work with the test manager and/or other team members to facilitate data testing and resolve migration issues.
- Provide training, support, and guidance as appropriate to ICT&D team members.
- Maintain clear communication with the Project’s data migration business leads, Project leads, and other members of the Project team regarding all iterations of the data migration, successes, and data quality issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in data migration, specifically with MOSAIC.
- Strong understanding of data extraction and transformation processes.
- Ability to work effectively with ICT&D teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to train and support team members in data migration tasks.
- DBS Standard clearance.
