From October, a Calder Valley Primary school is looking for a learning support assistant to work 1:1 with a girl in Reception with Down Syndrome.

Day to day for this SEND teaching assistant role:

  • Supporting with behaviour
  • Supporting child with learning through play and learning activities
  • Interventions
  • Some personal care

As a support assistant you will show strong pastoral and emotional support for your pupil, as well as being vigilant to their cues and needs which will mean able to think on the spot and being flexible with his timetable. The pupil will require some occassional personal care.
