From April, a Bradford Primary school is looking for a learning support assistant to work 1:1 with a boy in Year 1 with visual impairment and some development delays.

Day to day for this SEND teaching assistant role:

  • Supporting with mobility around the school
  • Supporting child with learning activities
  • Supporting child with communicating
  • Administering medication daily (training provided)

As a support assistant you will show strong pastoral and emotional support for your pupil, as well as being vigilant to their cues and needs which will mean able to think on the spot and being flexible with his timetable. The pupil will require some medical administration and first aid.
