Due to a temporary staffing changes, we are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Supply Sociology Teacher to join Academics
The Role:As a part-time Supply Sociology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stage 4 and 5. Your role will involve teaching a range of topics within the Sociology curriculum, ensuring that students are encouraged to think critically, develop their analytical skills, and gain a deep understanding of social issues. You will be expected to:
- Teach Sociology at Key Stage 4 and 5 (GCSE and A-level)
- Plan and deliver lessons that are interactive and well-structured
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote a positive learning environment
- Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as required
- Collaborate with department colleagues to maintain high academic standards
- Participate in department meetings
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Sociology teacher with:
- A degree in Sociology (or related subject)
- Experience teaching Sociology at GCSE and A-level (desirable but not essential)
- A commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to adapt to different learning styles and differentiate instruction
- A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach
