Are you an experienced Health and Safety Manager with a background in structural steel or construction? We're working with a prominent structural steel company in Halifax that is seeking a dedicated professional to lead their health and safety initiatives. Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures across the organisation.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide training, health checks, and auditing to promote a culture of safety throughout the company.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to address safety concerns and foster best practices.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on health and safety performance.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in health and safety, ideally in the structural steel or construction sector.
- Hold either Tech-IOSH or CM-IOSH accreditation.
- Proven ability to deliver training sessions and conduct health checks and auditing.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in structural steel and construction environments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to influence and drive a positive safety culture within the organization.
