About the Role:

My client are seeking an experienced and motivated Health & Safety Manager to join their team. The role will be part of a dynamic team of two H&S Managers, reporting to the Construction Director. The H&S Manager will be responsible for overseeing approximately 10 sites. The sites vary in size and scope, and you will need to travel to these sites on a rotating basis to ensure the implementation and monitoring of H&S plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement tailored Health & Safety plans for each construction scheme.

Monitor and review RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements).

Conduct O&M (Operation and Maintenance) handovers at the end of each scheme.

Support training requirements, utilising the company's training portal to complete and assist with H&S training for site teams.

Conduct site visits on a regular schedule: visiting sites periodically.

Ensure all sites adhere to health and safety standards and regulations, reporting and addressing any concerns promptly.

Maintain flexibility in managing your diary, ensuring visits align with the needs of the sites and construction timelines.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a Health & Safety Management role, preferably within construction or similar industries.

Strong understanding of H&S plans, RAMS, and O&M procedures.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites nationwide.

Ability to travel frequently, with flexibility regarding site locations.

Strong communication skills for liaising with site teams, contractors, and the senior management team.

Ability to conduct and support H&S training for staff.

A proactive and self-motivated approach to managing tasks and priorities.

A relevant H&S qualification (e.g., NEBOSH) is highly desirable.

Location:

Candidates can be based in either West Yorkshire or Lancashire.

Hybrid working is available.
