People Solutions are looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer to work with our well-established client in Halifax in the Automotive sector.

Day to Day Duties

• Analyse operating environment
• Identify process inefficiencies and wastes of time, money, materials, and energy
• Conduct time and motion studies
• Improve labour utilisation by studying work methods
• Testing modifications
• Designing new methods
• Recommending job restructuring
• Preparing work-analysis information and reports by collecting, analysing and summarizing information and trends
• Complete work improvement projects by training and guiding operators and supervisors
• Protect organisation value by keeping information confidential, cautioning others regarding potential breaches

Essential Skills

• At least two years' experience working in the automotive sector in a similar role
• Competence in problem solving methodologies, primarily Ishikawa and 5why
• Computer literate with all Microsoft Office packages.
• Effective communication skills (verbal & written), coupled with good numeric skills to be able to present facts for demonstration purposes
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to undertake a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
• Ability to comprehend complex instructions and respond effectively and perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly
