Our client is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician with the aspiration to progress into a field service role.

Mechanical Assembly Technician

Salary: £28,000 - £38,000

The shift pattern: Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm

Overview: Duties will include Service strip and repair, Heavy/technical builds, General housekeeping and 5S projects.

The Role:

  • Service strip and repair
    • Make units ready for strip and report
    • Strip units as per specification and report findings
    • Warranty investigation
    • Repair units as per production order instructions
    • Unit test and report
  • Heavy/technical builds
    • Complete build of technical or heavy units (including Series G,H,E,J, etc.)
  • Personnel development
    • Apprentice mentor
    • New starter integration
    • Knowledge sharing
  • Project assessment analysis
    • Site sales support
    • Pre site checks
    • Project planning support
  • Site Service Engineer
    • Provide on-site product support and installation
    • Identify, analyse and repair product failure
    • Communicate and co-ordinate failure response
    • Provide technical product training and basic user functionality training to customer base
    • Completion of site visit reports

The Successful Candidate:

  • Site service experience would be of an advantage
  • Must hold a valid UK Driving licence
  • FLT Licence is essential
  • Basic electrical training
  • Attention to Detail
  • Self-motivated
