Our client is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician with the aspiration to progress into a field service role.
Mechanical Assembly Technician
Salary: £28,000 - £38,000
The shift pattern: Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm
Overview: Duties will include Service strip and repair, Heavy/technical builds, General housekeeping and 5S projects.
The Role:
- Service strip and repair
- Make units ready for strip and report
- Strip units as per specification and report findings
- Warranty investigation
- Repair units as per production order instructions
- Unit test and report
- Heavy/technical builds
- Complete build of technical or heavy units (including Series G,H,E,J, etc.)
- Personnel development
- Apprentice mentor
- New starter integration
- Knowledge sharing
- Project assessment analysis
- Site sales support
- Pre site checks
- Project planning support
- Site Service Engineer
- Provide on-site product support and installation
- Identify, analyse and repair product failure
- Communicate and co-ordinate failure response
- Provide technical product training and basic user functionality training to customer base
- Completion of site visit reports
The Successful Candidate:
- Site service experience would be of an advantage
- Must hold a valid UK Driving licence
- FLT Licence is essential
- Basic electrical training
- Attention to Detail
- Self-motivated
