Position: Multi-Skilled Electrical Night Shift Maintenance Engineer
Location: Halifax
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift: Night Shift – 10pm to 6am

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Electrical Night Shift Maintenance Engineer for a leading manufacturing company based in Halifax. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a dynamic team within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform reactive, proactive, and planned maintenance on a range of factory equipment to ensure maximum plant uptime.
  • Address machine breakdowns swiftly to reduce downtime and support production targets.
  • Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
  • Support Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities and work within a Lean manufacturing environment to improve machine performance and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, including ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
  • Manage and contribute to various operational projects, identifying and implementing improvements.
  • Install, decommission, and recommission capital equipment as needed.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Maintenance Engineer role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong practical knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering with hands-on maintenance experience.
  • Familiarity with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Welding experience (MIG & Stick) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of extrusion, mixing, and blending machines is beneficial but not essential.

Education & Experience:
