Role Overview:
As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and closure of projects within the banking sector. You will ensure that project objectives are achieved, benefits are realised, and changes are effectively implemented. Key Responsibilities:

  • Programme/Project Set Up and Closure:

Collaborate with stakeholders to align project proposals with business strategies. Ensure that project benefits are clearly defined and tracked post-implementation

  • Governance and Reporting:

Work closely with Programme Leads to provide regular status reports to stakeholders. Recommend contingency plans as necessary to keep projects on track.

  • Project Delivery:

Define and implement detailed project delivery approaches for each phase of the project lifecycle. Engage team members to gain acceptance of the plan and produce all required project management deliverables using established methodologies.

  • Planning and Finance:

Own the project plan, monitoring timescales and budgets closely. Report any variances promptly, escalating issues as needed to mitigate delays or costs.

  • Resource Management:

Track resource requirements and manage the budget and FTE profile effectively to ensure project success.

  • Stakeholder Management:

Identify key stakeholders and develop a tailored communication plan to keep them informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Risk Management:

Continuously monitor projects for risk issues and ensure regulatory compliance. Take proactive steps to mitigate identified risks.

  • People Development:

Where applicable, manage and coach team members to foster a high-performing environment that encourages professional growth.
