I am looking for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic group of professionals committed to excellence and innovation in care in Yorkshire.
You will play a key part in supporting recovery and promoting independence through high-quality interventions in a mental health supported living setting.

- A Consultant Clinical Psychologist who also serves as Head of Therapy
- A Lead Occupational Therapist
- A Highly Specialised Occupational Therapist
- A Specialist Occupational Therapist
- Additional Occupational Therapists, together with an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Three Assistant Psychologists
You will work alongside a fellow Band 5 Occupational Therapist and an Assistant Psychologist, ensuring that you are fully supported through dedicated supervision from a Band 7 OT who oversees services in both Yorkshire and Lancashire, as well as further guidance from the Lead OT and Head of Therapies.
Responsibilities
- Providing one-to-one and group interventions designed to enhance daily living skills and promote social inclusion.
- Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised care plans that address the unique journey of each service user.
- Contributing to the development of Occupational Therapy pathways and participating in initiatives that drive service enhancements.
- Offering support across three sites in Halifax and Seacroft, Leeds. Travel between sites will be ad-hoc and driven by service user needs - with mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile.
Experience Required:
- A Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
- At least 6 months post-graduate experience, preferably within mental health settings.
- A proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a varied caseload, and who demonstrates strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and service users.
- A valid driving licence and access to a car, due to the requirement for multi-site travel.
