Join our dedicated team as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) at a highly regarded secondary special school in Calderdale. Day-to-day of the role:- Support students with diverse needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and physical impairments.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support students in achieving their educational goals.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support as needed.
- Monitor and report on student progress.
- Previous experience working with special educational needs in a similar or transferable role.
- A valid DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate and patient approach to working with students.
