Responsibilities:
* Resolve machine breakdowns promptly to ensure maximum throughput and meet customer demand.
* Perform reactive, proactive, and planned maintenance on a variety of factory equipment to support plant uptime and ensure safe and efficient machine operation.
* Maintain site services and facilities, ensuring all equipment operates in line with relevant legislation and company requirements
* Carry out equipment checks, repairs, adjustments, and improvements as needed to ensure high machine standards.
* Implement and manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) applying lean principles to improve machine condition and reduce downtime.
* Participate in operational projects across the site, collaborating with the production team to meet business requirements efficiently and accurately.
* Install, decommission, recommission, and test capital equipment as required.
* Contribute to cost-saving initiatives in maintenance work and help manage both individual and team projects.
Requirements:
* Strong practical and legal knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering/maintenance, with a focus on safe and efficient machine operation.
* Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent.
* Experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
* Familiarity with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) techniques to improve machine condition, product quality, and reduce downtime.
* Good communication skills.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
