Maintenance Technician.
Halifax.

Up to £43,000 per annum DOE.

Monday – Thursday. 07:30 – 16:00.
Friday 07:30 – 15:00.
On call 1 in 4 weeks, which are paid minimum 4 hours per call-out. Time in lieu for bank holiday on-call cover.

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to play a key role in maintaining, improving, and ensuring the safe operation of our clients chemical manufacturing plant that produces ingredients for personal care products.

 What You'll Be Doing:
  • Carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance work across pumps, vessels, tanks, motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, and more.
  • Diagnosing breakdowns and executing timely repairs to maximise equipment uptime.
  • Supporting continuous improvement and process optimisation across the site.
  • Ensuring safe working practices.
  • Maintaining high housekeeping standards and contributing to a positive 5S culture.
  • Updating maintenance records, root cause analyses, and risk assessments.

What You Bring:

  • NVQ Level 3 / ONC / HNC / City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Mechanical experience in chemical manufacturing or a similar high volume environment is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of lean manufacturing, quality control tools, and H&S legislation.
  • Comfortable working with legacy systems on a site that’s undergoing modernisation.
