ABC Teachers are currently recruiting for a dedicated and motivated Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and thriving secondary school in the Hall Green area. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-class support for students, particularly those with SEN and behavioural needs
  • Assist in Resource Bases, supporting targeted learning interventions
  • Build positive relationships with students, encouraging a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and SEN coordinators to adapt resources and teaching methods

 

Requirements

The successful Teaching Assistant will have;

  • Previous experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting
  • Knowledge of SEN, behavioural support, or experience working in a Resource Base is beneficial
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) preferred but not essential
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and adaptability
  • Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
