Are you looking for a new hands-on role within manufacturing? Do you have CNC setting experience in either milling or turning? If so, we've got an exciting opportunity for a CNC Setter/Operator to join a manufacturing company near Halstead.
Working hours will be on rotating 2 week earlies/lates. Earlies 06:00-14:00, lates 14:00-23:00. Starting salary will be circa 16ph based on previous experience, plus shift premium and early Friday finish on the late shift.
You will need to have experience setting and operating either milling or turning machines, with any controls, as training will be provided. There will be a variety of materials involved due to the nature of the company such as cast iron and others.
The company are a building manufacturer, who produce a variety of products for different types of businesses. You will be working in their machine shop with their team of skilled machinists.
What You'll Do:
- Setting up machines and making sure everything's running correctly
- Adjusting machine settings
- Checking parts for quality
- Keeping records of what's been done
What Experience You'll Need:
- Setting and Operating experience is essential for this role
- Be able to work on 5 axis machines ideally
- Work from engineering drawings
- Be comfortable working with a variety of materials
- Ideally familiar with Mazak machines
