The Advocate Group is working with an innovative and dynamic home design company that is continually from strength to strength! Following continued success, they're looking to a SHEQ Advisor to join their incredible team pushing for continued success while supporting through an exciting group growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organizing and setting up health and safety training for all staff
  • Keeping track of training records
  • Welcoming and inducting new team members.
  • Handling requests for safety gear
  • Gathering and reviewing safety documents to check how well they’re working.
  • Going over risk assessments and method statements
  • Updating and reviewing our health and safety policies
  • Keeping and sharing related company records
  • Running internal quality and environmental audits
  • Managing Occupational Health screenings across the company
  • Performing internal fire alarm checks
  • Conducting legionella testing around the site
  • Meeting and collaborating with external contractors (like waste management and insurance visits)
  • Creating monthly quality reports for department heads
  • Carrying out DSE assessments across the business
  • Tackling small ad hoc projects related to the role as needed.

You will need the following qualifications.

  • ISO 14001 Internal Auditor
  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Fire Risk Assessment
  • Display Screen Equipment Assessor

Ideally you have experience with:

  • Working for a manufacturing brand – ideally luxury and/ or bespoke
  • Across multiple sites
  • Legionella Awareness
  • COSHH
  • First Aid
  • NEBOSH
  • Mental Health First Aider
