We are looking for a workshop fitter to join a manufacturing company in Halstead. You will be joining their panel department to produce high quality components for the firm. You will need to have some engineering or metalworking experience to be considered for this role.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a workshop environment and further your engineering knowledge. This role would be perfect for someone who has got some metalworking experience or other assembly knowledge.
Starting salary will be circa 11.50ph which will be depending on experience. Working hours are 08:00-16:30 Monday to Thursday with a 15:30 finish on Fridays. Overtime is paid at 1.5x rate!
Duties include:
- Operating machinery such as saws, punches, presses etc.
- Working with hand and power tools to assembly parts
- Working from technical drawings
- Deburring and inspecting parts once assembled
- Ensure accuracy of machine settings
You will need to have experience working with a variety of engineering equipment but specific machinery can be taught to the right candidate.
