Job OverviewMarket 36 Recruitment is working on behalf of a reputable and growing company to recruit a Workshop-Based Mobile Plant Fitter. We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated individual to join a busy and modern workshop, maintaining and repairing a wide range of plant equipment from industry-leading brands such as JCB, Komatsu, Bomag, Thwaites, Hamm, Powerscreen, John Deere, and Bell.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults across a variety of plant and machinery.
- Conduct PAT testing, PDI inspections, and routine servicing.
- Perform reactive and preventative maintenance, both in the workshop and on-site when required.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices from fault analysis through to job completion.

- Crushers, Screeners & Wheeled Loaders
- Disc Cutters, Generators & Water Pumps
- Lifting Equipment, Hydraulic Attachments & Hand Tools
- Compaction Equipment, Skid Steers & Site Cabins
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in computer diagnostics.
- Excellent attention to detail - precise documentation is essential.
- A reliable, flexible team player who works well under pressure.
- Self-motivated and able to diagnose and repair equipment efficiently.
- Full clean UK Driving Licence (essential).
- Own tools required.
