We are seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to join our vibrant school community. This role involves teaching music to prep school and KS3 pupils, providing them with a rich and engaging musical education. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music and education, with a focus on fostering a love for music among young learners.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring music lessons that cater to the abilities and interests of all students.
  • Develop students' understanding and appreciation of music through a variety of teaching methods including musical performance, theory, and history.
  • Organise and lead school music events and productions.
  • Assess and record students' progress, providing feedback and support to encourage their musical development.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to integrate music into a broader educational curriculum.
  • Manage classroom resources and maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status is preferred.
  • Experience in teaching music at prep school to KS3 level.
  • Strong knowledge of music theory and performance.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
