About the Role
Are you a skilled Plant Fitter, Car Mechanic, or Engineer with a passion for hands-on work? Do you enjoy diagnosing faults, repairing machinery, and ensuring equipment runs at its best? If so, our client wants to hear from you!
As a Small Tool & Plant Fitter, youll be an integral part of our close-knit team, working in a modern, purpose-built workshop. Your role will involve maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment, ensuring everything is in top working condition.
Equipment Youll Work On
Disc Cutters & Generators
Excavators, Dumpers & Skid Steers
Lifting & Hydraulic Equipment
Hand Tools, Battery Tools & Water Pumps
Site Cabins & Compaction Equipment
No two days are the same! Youll be responsible for servicing, repairing, diagnosing faults, and conducting pre-delivery inspections across a wide range of plant and tools.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
Carry out routine servicing and pre-delivery inspections
Maintain accurate service records and ensure all work meets manufacturer standards
Work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Adhere to health and safety regulations and company procedures
What our client is looking for
Mechanical Expertise Experience with small plant, vehicles, or machinery
Technical Knowledge Understanding of 2 & 4 stroke engines, hydraulics, and electrics
Attention to Detail Accurate record-keeping and adherence to manufacturer guidelines
Team Player Works efficiently in a busy workshop while supporting colleagues
Self-Motivated Ability to diagnose and repair faults quickly and effectively
