Head Chef - Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead their kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience cooking seafood, a flair for crafting delicious breakfast menus, and the creativity to design memorable dinner offerings. You will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality in food preparation, presentation, and hygiene standards.
Head Chef - Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and inspire a team of chefs and kitchen staff to deliver exceptional breakfast, seafood, and dinner dishes.
- Source the freshest seafood and ingredients, maintaining strong relationships with local suppliers.
- Oversee kitchen inventory, manage food costs, and minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests.
- Manage kitchen scheduling, staff development, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and maintenance in the kitchen.
Head Chef - Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a high-quality restaurant, preferably with a focus on seafood and breakfast.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Extensive knowledge of seafood preparation, cooking techniques, and flavour profiles.
- Creativity and passion for creating innovative and delicious dishes.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
