A Senior Maintenance Operations Manager is responsible for managing staff, scheduling maintenance tasks, coordinating with vendors, monitoring budgets, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management:
- Oversee the assignment of tasks, delegate work, and supervise maintenance teams.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide regular feedback.
- Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts effectively.
Operations Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance schedules based on preventive maintenance plans and client requirements.
- Prioritise work orders and manage emergency repair requests.
- Coordinate with the helpdesk manager and clients to schedule maintenance activities and site access.
- Monitor and adjust schedules as necessary to ensure tasks are completed on time.
Budget Management:
- Track maintenance costs, including labour, materials, and vendor fees.
- Monitor budget performance and identify areas for cost reduction.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure favourable pricing.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Establish and enforce high-quality standards for maintenance work.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Implement preventative measures to mitigate risks and potential hazards.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and resolve concerns efficiently.

Technical Expertise:

- Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance staff when needed.
