Design Coordinator (Rail & Civil Engineering)Our client, a leading firm in the rail and civil engineering sector, is looking for a Design Coordinator to join their Cumbernauld-based team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with design and coordination experience to contribute to high-impact rail and civil engineering projects, from highways to infrastructure and asset management.About the RoleThe Design Coordinator will be responsible for managing design elements across multiple projects, ensuring all design work meets technical standards, budget constraints, and client expectations. Working closely with engineering and project teams, the Design Coordinator will facilitate the smooth flow of design information, track project progress, and help drive overall project success.Key Responsibilities- Coordinate all design activities, ensuring they meet technical and quality standards- Act as the primary liaison between design teams, contractors, and clients- Review design documents and ensure compliance with relevant specifications and requirements- Support design development from initial concept through to final delivery- Maintain accurate project documentation, including design briefs, specifications, and progress reports- Manage and mitigate design-related risks to ensure project deadlines are met- Coordinate with project and site teams to resolve design and technical issues- Attend project and design meetings to represent the design team's interests and provide updates- Prepare and submit design review reports and other required documentationRequirements - Proven experience in design coordination or design management within the rail or civil engineering sector- Strong understanding of design processes, project specifications, and industry standards- Proficiency with design software, such as AutoCAD and Revit- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyWhat's on Offer- Competitive salary, negotiable based on experience- Company car or car allowance- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service)If you're passionate about delivering top-quality design coordination on vital infrastructure projects, we'd love to hear from you.
