We are working with a leading manufacturer with a global presence who are based in Hamilton, on the outskirts of Glasgow. They are looking for an experienced Finance Supervisor who is looking for an exciting new challenge with exceptional growth opportunities.

Responsibilities within your new role as Finance Supervisor

Key responsibilities include supervising sales and purchase ledgers, assisting with monthly management accounts to ensure accurate accruals and cut-offs, and utilising Sage 50 Accounts for general bookkeeping. The role involves conducting management reporting and analysis, including profit and loss statements, supporting data cleansing and ERP implementation, and performing bank reconciliations as well as month/year-end reconciliations. Additionally, you will be generating invoices and payment schedules, monitoring and managing accounting software, producing invoice reminders, chasing overdue payments, supervising the accounts payable team to ensure they meet deadlines, and delegating tasks to the administrative team.

Your personality, experience and qualifications

While qualifications are desirable, we are more interested in your practical experience and ability to lead. Experience in a similar role, either within an existing team or with an office managerial background, is preferred. Our client is open to candidates with backgrounds as senior accounts administrators, administration team leaders or supervisors, or office managers with finance experience.
