Procast is seeking a motivated and experienced Renewables Buyer to join our dynamic and growing team. As we continue to expand our presence in the renewable energy sector, we're looking for a dedicated professional to drive our procurement strategies and support our sustainable initiatives.

About the Role: As our Renewables Buyer, you'll play a crucial role in sourcing and procuring renewable energy components, systems, and related materials. You'll work closely with our project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective supply of high-quality renewable technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and evaluate suppliers for renewable energy products (solar panels, inverters, heat pumps, batteries, etc.)
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers
  • Analyse market trends and pricing to optimise procurement strategies
  • Coordinate with project managers to forecast material needs and manage inventory
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Implement sustainable and ethical procurement practices
  • Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the supply chain

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the renewable energy or construction sector
  • Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies and market trends
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office suite
