We currently work with a charity dedicated to improving the lives of people with brain injuries across the UK. They have dedicated assessment centres, rehabilitation units, and hospitals that use expert neurorehabilitation to help people regain lost skills and achieve their personal goals. 

Position: Clinical Psychologist - 21 hours per week

Location: Glasgow (Eastfields)

Main Purpose: As part of their multi/inter disciplinary team, you will provide clinical psychology and neuropsychology input within their neurobehavioural model to service users with brain injuries. You will liaise with internal and external professionals, family members, and service users, engage in relevant research, and advise other professionals as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist psychological/neuropsychological assessment of adults with acquired brain injury.
  • Coordinate service user care as a keyworker/clinical lead.
  • Formulate and implement plans of specialist psychological/neuropsychological intervention.
  • Elicit personal goals from service users and translate them into SMART goals.
  • Undertake a range of psychological therapeutic and rehabilitation interventions.
  • Contribute specialist psychological advice to the multi/inter disciplinary team.

About You:

  • Degree in Psychology, accepted by BPS for Graduate Basis Registration (GBR) or equivalent.
  • Registered with the HCPC.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation in relation to the service user group.
