Energy Project Manager, Droitwich
up to 50,000
Full Time 40hours

PPM is divided into two distinct services divisions, those being SPV Management and Asset Management, both of which are overseen by a Director.
Each division is supported by a series of Senior Project Managers and Project Managers.
The post holder will report to the Energy and Sustainability Manager of Asset Management, Droitwich.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES FOR THE ENERGY PROJECT MANAGER
Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (various sites) - additional phases will also follow
  • Establish and appoint the professional team (designers, consultants, contractors) and set up contractual arrangements
  • Coordinate all elements of the pre-construction, construction and post construction works phases
  • Diligently undertake all duties requested acting as Employers Agent on behalf of various Local Authority clients for the delivery of decarbonisation works (examples being - ASHP, Building Management Systems and Solar Photovoltaics)
  • Ensure the grant funding conditions are strictly adhered to and liaise with Salix accordingly
  • Production of all necessary documentation in order to complete comprehensive competitive tendering exercise using suitably qualified contractors in accordance with Local Authority procurement requirements
  • Oversee and administer all elements of contract and project delivery (JCT, NEC and PSA) including applications for payment from suppliers and contractors
  • Produce and update project documentation as required (risk registers, financial forecast, works programs etc.)
  • Lead regular client and key stakeholder meetings
  • Produce regular financial and project status reports
  • Manage, coordinate and oversee the construction/works proving period and handover process
  • Develop and manage systems in order to identify opportunities for future decarbonisation grant funding both from Parkwood building portfolio and non company buildings
Parkwood Energy Project Board
  • Represent the Project Delivery arm of the Parkwood Energy Strategy Group.
  • Working closely with the Energy Manager establish project briefs and technologies to be introduced. PPMs role is to instruct and procure, design, and deliver the various projects awarded capital funding
  • Liaison with stakeholders and Local Authorities who may be providing match funding for the projects
  • Monitor project successes in order to inform future investment decisions
  • Develop a strategy for the phasing out of CHP assets in favour of renewable technologies to the benefit of the overall Group and Building Lifecycle funds.
Capital Projects
  • Provision of project Management and Employers Agent services for Capital projects identified across the Parkwood portfolio.
  • Work closely with Local Authority partners to deliver facility improvement objectives.
Management Responsibilities
  • Undertake any other comparable duties commensurate with the general duties of the post, as requested by the Senior Project Manager or Director and Director of Project Management;
  • The post holder will be required to travel and attend sites predominantly within the Midlands region and extending to the South West of the UK.
THE CANDIDATE
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • A minimum of five years gaining professional skills and knowledge;
  • Professional skills, knowledge and experience relative to the position and level of responsibility;
  • Relevant qualifications with significant demonstrable experience working in a similar role
  • Knowledge of working with the CDM Regulations 2015 is required;
  • Technical expertise commensurate with skills, qualifications and knowledge
  • Demonstrable planning and time management skills
  • A good understanding and interpretation of industry practices and trends
  • A firm understanding of recording and controlling costs;
DRIVING
A Full UK Driving Licence is required and it is essential that the jobholder has access to a suitable vehicle in which to undertake Company business.
