Loom Talent are delighted to be supporting with the appointment of a Transport Shift Manager (Continental Nights) for a client in Feltham.
Our client is a well-known distributor of FMCG with a vast network across the UK. This position will work a continental shift of 4 on 4 off and will include both days and nights.
As Transport Shift Manager you will be supporting the operational activities of a busy team including with responsibilities across people management, compliance, and H&S.
- Ensuring all drivers are carrying out their duties in a safe and timely manner and in line with company policies
- Daily people management duties such as recruitment, training, rotas, holidays, and sickness
- Vehicle and route planning
- Ensuring that the team delivers the highest levels of customer service
- Correct reporting of incidents, accidents and vehicles defects
- Ongoing support to the senior management team with continuous improvement and operational efficiencies
Candidates wishing to be considered should meet the following requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of transport and vehicle compliance - Essential
- Previous experience managing drivers - Essential
- Previous hands-on experience as a driver and class 1 or 2 Licence - Desirable
- Commutable distance of Feltham - Essential
- Flexible approach to shifts work, including regular nights - Essential
Upon appointment of Transport Shift Manager you will receive competitive salary in the region of £45,000 - £48,000
