About the role:

Join our dynamic and dedicated team as a Lifeguard at the vibrant Hampton Pool, part of the YMCA St Pauls Group.In this vital role, you will contribute significantly to ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and high-quality service our customers expect.Your duties will extend beyond the pool area and cover various tasks to aid in the efficient and progressive management of our swimming facilities.As a flexible bank staff member, you will need to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, providing an exciting opportunity to work in a diverse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Guardian of Safety:Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety of pool users.You will monitor activities, perform routine pool tests, and swiftlyrespondto any safety concerns, always prioritising our users wellbeing.

Championof Cleanliness:Maintaining the pristine condition of our facilities is crucial.Your role will involve ensuring the cleanliness of the pool and surrounding areas, contributing to apleasantand hygienic environment for all.

TeamCollaboration:As part of our dedicated team, you will undertake 40, 60, or possibly 90-minute rotations on the poolside, working with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of service and safety.

Operational Excellence:You will assist in upholding the operational standards outlined in the Pools Operations Manual.Your role will involve adhering to various health and safety requirements, including manual handling and fire safety protocols, and conducting weekly stock checks of cleaning supplies.

Environmental Stewardship:Play anactiverole in implementing the Pools Environmental Policy, contributing to ourcommitmentto sustainability and responsible practices.

Customer Service:Assist in delivering and promoting a range of swimming and dry-side activities, focusing on increasing revenue during quieter periods. Engage in customer relations, including conducting surveys and gathering feedback to enhance our services.

Community Engagement:You will act as an ambassador for Hampton Pool, fostering a welcoming atmosphere and participating in community activities tosupportand promote our facilities.Your role will also involve developing relationships with the Friends of Hampton Pool and exploring ways to effectively use theirsupport.
