An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and passionate Band 6 or 7 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic team in Middlesex. This role involves working within a school setting, providing therapeutic interventions to children aged 3-11 years. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of paediatric experience and a strong understanding of how to support children with various needs, including developmental delays, sensory processing difficulties, and learning disabilities.


Location: Middlesex
Salary: £33-36 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time (open to part-time applicants)
Age Range: 3-11 years

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children’s physical, cognitive, and sensory abilities within the school environment.
  • Developing and implementing individualized occupational therapy plans tailored to the needs of each child.
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the child’s development.
  • Supporting children with motor skills, sensory processing, fine and gross motor development, and self-regulation.
  • Leading group therapy sessions when necessary to support social skills and independence.
  • Providing expert advice and training to school staff on supporting children with specific occupational therapy needs.
  • Managing and documenting progress, including regular updates to parents and the multidisciplinary team.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of paediatric occupational therapy experience, ideally within a school setting.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • A thorough understanding of child development and evidence-based practices for treating a range of conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience working with children aged 3-11 years, with a wide range of abilities and needs.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to managing the diverse needs of children in a school setting.
