My client, a well-established organisation comprising six depots and 150 employees, is seeking an HR Manager to join their growing team.

Role Overview
Reporting to the Managing Director, the HR Manager will provide expert support to managers and employees, fostering a positive workplace culture. Responsible for the entire employee lifecycle, you'll lead initiatives across recruitment, onboarding, benefits, learning and development, performance management, and HR administration while aligning HR practices with strategic goals.

As an integral part of the leadership structure, you will bring your loyalty, self-control, and conscientious approach to support and develop the people within the business. With your strong listening skills and a passion for creating positive change, you'll drive initiatives that foster personal and group development, ensuring the team thrives at every level. This role offers an immediate opportunity to grow your team, building a high-performing HR function to support the organisation's scaling objectives.

Key Responsibilities
The HR Manager will:

  • Establish a strong HR function, including recruitment and onboarding, to meet operational needs while the business scales.
  • Coordinate the modernisation of HR processes through technology to improve efficiency.
  • Oversee the development of a high-performance team in alignment with the company's culture and objectives.

You will also develop and review HR policies to ensure professionalism and compliance while training and coaching managers on HR processes and legal updates. A key focus will be supporting managers with disciplinary, absence, and talent planning.

Administrative responsibilities include maintaining and updating HR records, policies, and job descriptions, ensuring the secure handling of personal data, and managing employee relations tasks such as grievances and performance reviews.

On the recruitment and onboarding side, you will oversee recruitment policies and plans, ensuring smooth inductions and effective probation reviews.

Collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team, you'll work closely with the Managing Director on strategic HR objectives, align HR initiatives with business goals, and report on HR metrics such as recruitment activities and employee relations updates.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Full Driving License, preferably clean.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience with flexible and methodical HR practices.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR functions, including recruitment and performance management.
  • Strong expertise in operating HRIS systems.

Location: Feltham
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Benefits: 28 days' holiday (including bank holidays), with additional days after two years of service
Salary: 60,000 - 70,000 DOE with 8,000 annual car allowance
