Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role:

EV Regulations Lead Engineer - 30/hr (Inside IR35) - Warwickshire / Hybrid - 6 Months (potential for yearly renewal)

Division:
Vehicle Engineering

Position Description:
- Responsible for detailed understanding of current and future BEV Efficiency certification in major and developing markets
- Lead the creation and continuous improvement of certification Data Handling process and tools.
- Have close interaction with compliance, legislation and certification teams

Skills Required:
- Strong technical engineering background with evidence of a methodical, structured approach to problem solving
- Strong communication skills and team work - ability to work cross functionally with a wide range of customers at all levels
- Knowledge of vehicle efficiency EV certification methods, processes, and implementation (WLTP, EPA NAS, CLTC, UN ECE, as a minimum)

Experience Required:
- Engineering qualification (academic or vocational) in:- Engineering, Pure sciences with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industrial experience.
- Strong foundation Knowledge of legislative cycles and regulations related to EV range homologation (WLTP GTR15, EPA 5-Cycle CFR 40 Part 600, CLTC GBT (phone number removed)-2021, UNECE R101, R154, R83, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of the mathematics needed to get to the efficiency/EV range declaration process of different legislation process globally (WLTP & EPA NAS critical)
- Experience of interfacing with multiple stakeholder involved in BEV range homologation process
- Knowledge and working understanding of data processes and exchanges that is involved across different teams to get to range / efficiency declaration
- Knowledge and/or experience of working with Agile operating principles.
- A passion for the automotive industry and the potential of automotive technology.

Experience Preferred:
- Knowledge and/or experience of component/rig testing methodologies related to vehicle efficiency.
- Experience in use of JIRA or similar task management platform.
- Resilient and enthusiastic, an individual able to deliver results under pressure, whilst responding constructively to challenging new ideas and inputs.

Additional Information:
This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35.
Hybrid working: minimum 2 days the office in Warwickshire.
