Primary Teaching Assistant (SEMH)
Prospero Teaching is looking for a resilient and experienced Primary Teaching Assistant (SEMH) proficient in Key Stage 1-2 support. The learning provision is based in Fawley, Hampshire.
The school is for students in Key Stages 2 who have either been permanently excluded from mainstream school or who are in danger of becoming so, because of social, emotional or mental health difficulties. It also offers places for children with an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP) identifying SEMH.
The position is open to all experienced Teaching Assistants/support workers, but also those with a youth work background or to those who have either mentored or coached children with challenging behaviour. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

Experience, Training And Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar setting
- LEVEL 2 Teaching Assistant/or equivalent and above is preferable
- GCSE Maths and English
- Team Teach Trained (preferable)
To Be Eligible For This Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
