Health & Safety Advisor
Location: Gloucester EFW, GL10 3ET
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: Circa 45,000 - DOE
Key Responsibilities of a Health & Safety Advisor

Advising managers and supervisors on all safety, health, and welfare matters.

Ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other relevant legislation.

Conducting health and safety inspections/audits and preparing reports.

Investigating all accidents, incidents, hazards, and near-miss events.

Developing and delivering Health & Safety training for employees.
-
Monitoring and supporting managers to maintain a strong health and safety culture.

Liaising with external regulatory bodies such as the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), Fire Service, and Police.
Key Skills of a Health & Safety Advisor

NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health (or equivalent)

Membership of IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety & Health)

Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation

Experience in a similar role (waste management, recycling, collections, or quarry industries is a plus)

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Full UK driving licence
