Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (42.5 hours per week).

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer required for a continuously growing manufacturer who invest into their site and facilities. This is a great opportunity to join a business within a personable working environment and who invest in their team.

The Successful Maintenance Engineer will be mechanically biased, with experience of manufacturing maintenance. Those with experience within FMCG, have worked in extrusion or mixing plants will be at an advantage. You will be a qualified mechanical engineer.

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Role:

  •          Carrying out mechanical repairs across production.
  •          Split between reactive and PPM maintenance 25/75.  
  •          Troubleshooting and fault-finding issues on breakdowns.
  •          Some project work, including installation and upgrade projects.
  •          Working on a range of production lines including extrusion, mixing and lamination.

The Successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

  •          You will be mechanically biased, with a background of manufacturing, production, industrial maintenance or equivalent.
  •          You will ideally have experience of working in high volume manufacturing, but those from other industrial environments will be considered.
  •          You will be a qualified mechanical engineer.
  •          You will have confidence in your troubleshooting skills and the ability to problem solve effectively, particularly with hydraulics and pneumatics.
  •          Any fabrication or welding experience will be advantageous.
  •          Any electrical experience or qualifications will be advantageous, although training can be provided, including external courses.
