We're looking for a Tax Accountant with drive and ambition to join a leading marketing services company, known for helping a wide range of international brands to communicate effectively with consumers through engaging digital innovations.

The successful applicant will report into the Finance Director and take a lead on all VAT matters. The main responsibility being the preparation of tax and other compliance returns including the preparation and review of UK and overseas VAT returns, review of balance sheet tax related reconciliations and assistance with the review of the annual PSA returns.

What to expect:

  • Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm (40 hour working week) or part-time hours are 24 hours per week

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Providing guidance to other teams on new products, invoice complexities and ad hoc queries
  • Assisting with setting up new VAT registrations across the world
  • Complete system testing for new VAT rules and new products
  • Providing VAT training to other teams
  • Liaison with tax advisors overseas and in the UK
  • Assistance with tax authority queries, information for audit queries and non-routine ad hoc VAT matters
  • Involvement in setting up new customers and ensuring correct VAT treatment

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience of working in a tax function
  • Experience of operating within multiple European jurisdictions
  • An understanding of customs and duties
  • Ability to work in an organisation that is changing and adapting
  • Commitment to meeting challenging and demanding deadlines with a flexible approach
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational and time management skills
