An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Business Unit Accountant in the construction industry, based in Harlow. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in providing financial insights and decision-making support to the business.

Description
- Support the development and implementation of financial systems and processes
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management
- Production of monthly management accounts and reports including information for board presentations
- Management of the company balance sheet, supporting ledgers and accounting records including preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliation pack
- Production of year-end statutory accounts
- Ensuring integrity of financial controls, identifying areas for improvements and proposing solutions
- Supporting other members of the team in forecasting and business planning activities
- Providing support to the business in improving working capital and cash management
- Ad hoc projects, including data analysis and manipulation
- Provision of insight and technical financial guidance to business teams as required
- Advise on cost reduction and revenue enhancement strategies
Profile
A successful Finance Business Partner should have:
- A relevant professional qualification (e.g.,ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- Experience of working with an ERP system such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central an advantage
- Experience of using 'non-Excel' consolidation and reporting tools (e.g. OneStream, Power BI) an advantage
- Excellent communication skills
- A solution-oriented approach and the ability to drive change
Job Offer
