Financial Accountant

Annual Salary: £33,000 - £40,000

Day to Day of the role:

Gather and monitor financial data such as sales revenues and liabilities.
Prepare financial statements including monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
Analyse detailed costs and revenue drivers.
Manage tax payments and support internal and external audits.
Assist in budgeting for the company and individual departments.
Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies and conduct detailed risk analyses.
Analyse financial trends and perform month-end and year-end close processes.
Engage in and support team development and assist finance leadership with ad-hoc projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Financial/Management Accountant or in a similar role.
Driven and curious, with a desire to learn and articulate ideas clearly.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
Experience with ERP systems.
In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures and solid knowledge of accounting regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and time-management abilities.
Commitment to confidentiality.
Bachelor’s degree with a keen interest in finance.
Additional certification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA – Finalist/Newly Qualified) is advantageous.
Must be within commuting distance to Harlow, Essex.
