Band 6 – Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) – £27 p/h – Essex

We are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join an NHS Community Mental Health Team based in Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced mental health professional looking for a stable, well-structured contract within a supportive team environment.

Role Details:
  • Location: Essex
  • Setting: NHS, Community Mental Health Team (CMHT)
  • Pay Rate: £27 per hour
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM (Full-time)
  • Contract Length: 3-6 months (potential for extension)
  • Start Date: 10th February 2025
  • Type: On-site, community-based role
Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing a caseload of patients with complex mental health needs in the community
  • Conducting assessments, care planning, and risk management in line with NHS guidelines
  • Providing crisis intervention and ongoing support to service users and their families
  • Liaising with multi-disciplinary teams, GPs, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
  • Delivering therapeutic interventions and ensuring person-centered care
Requirements:
  • Valid NMC Registration (RNMH/RNLD/RGN) is required
  • Community mental health experience is essential
  • Experience in caseload management is highly desirable
  • A car driver with access to a vehicle is preferred, as this role involves community visits
