Alecto Recruitment is working with their client who have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join their operations team. This is a dynamic role where you will be required to work at various customer sites, providing essential servicing and resolving issues on a range of heavy plant machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer site visits to service and resolve problems on heavy plant equipment, including wheeled loaders, excavators, track loaders, shredders, screens, and waste handlers.
• Liaising with the service team and technical support to identify and solve issues, including ordering necessary parts.
• Completion of reports and recording working hours for each job completed.
• Ensuring high-quality customer service, ensuring minimal downtime for equipment and keeping customers informed on progress.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Extensive knowledge of a range of heavy plant machinery, including:
• Wheeled Loaders
• Excavators
• Track Loaders
• Shredders
• Screens
• Waste Handlers
• Experience with the following brands is advantageous:
• Case Construction Equipment
• Terex Ecotec
• Keestrack
• Solid understanding of:
• Hydraulic and electrical schematics
• Engine aftertreatment systems (SCR, DPF)
• Electrical circuits
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• IT literacy and good communication skills are essential for report submissions and liaising with the team.

Qualifications:

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Apprentice NVQ Level 3 in plant maintenance or a similar qualification.
• Quarry Passport and Passport to Safety are essential.
• Air Conditioning qualification is desirable.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including potential late nights or weekend work when required.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

The Package:

• Basic Working Hours: 08:00 to 16:30 / 40 hours per week.
