Machine Operator - Food Manufacturing / Packaging / Production Machinery

- Working across 3 Shifts: - Nights, Earlies & Lates - Rotating Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday - 07.00am-3.00pm and 3.00pm- 11.00pm, 11.00pm - 7.00am
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to operate and maintain dry food production machinery. The successful candidate will ensure efficient and effective operation of production machinery used in cleaning, grading, and packaging of its raw products before moving to the packaging production line.
Candidates must be willing to work the night, early and the late shifts on a weekly rotating basis.
Full training will be provided to help you excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate production machinery and packaging machinery.
- Monitor and adjust equipment to optimise performance and minimise downtime.
- Ensure accurate and consistent product quality.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with quality control and production teams.
- Meet production targets and efficiency standards.
- Train and assist new operators.
Requirements:
- Experience in operating production special purpose machinery.
- Strong knowledge of food processing and procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of automation systems.
- Ability to lift to 22 kilos and stand for long periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with using PLC and SCADA Systems.
- Certification in food processing or a related field.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
