Meridian Business Support is working with a leading Clinical homecare company to appoint a Data Protection Officerbased in Harlow (CM19).
  • Salary: £49,000 to £52,000 – dependant on experience
  • Monday to Friday 9am till 5.30pm

As a Data Protection Officer your main responsibility will be to manage risks across the organisation and ensuring the company is complying to data protection laws. Along with this you will be responsible for:
  • Identifying and managing risks related to data protection to protect the company's assets and reputation
  • Creating policies and procedures to keep patient information secure
  • Develop and implement a data protection framework to ensure complaince with GDPR
  • Create and deliver training programs to roll out to all staff within the organisation to ensure all are aware of their responsibilities to protect data
  • Work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance to data protection laws. 
The successful Data Protection Officer will:
  • Hold accredited qualifications in data protection and risk management
  • Have a deep understanding of GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and other related regulations
  • Be able to communicate complex information clearly to ensure understanding and compliance within the organisation
  • Proven track record in managing data protection and privacy
