We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Specialist Teacher (Autism Hub) to join our secondary schools in Harlow. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant impact on the learning and development of students with autism. About the Role: As a Specialist Teacher (Autism Hub), you will play a crucial role in delivering tailored teaching and support strategies to meet the individual needs of students with autism. You will work closely with school staff, SEN teams, and parents to create a nurturing and structured learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing effective teaching strategies for students with autism.
- Providing targeted intervention and support within the Autism Hub.
- Collaborating with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and other professionals to ensure student progress.
- Adapting lesson plans to cater to various learning styles and abilities.
- Supporting students' social, emotional, and academic development.
- Monitoring and assessing student progress to inform future planning and interventions.

Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with students with autism, preferably within a specialist or secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of autism-specific teaching strategies and interventions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A proactive and flexible approach to teaching and learning.
