Tradewind are currently seeking an enthusiastic and supportive Nursery Teacher to join the team at an incredible established nursery in Harlow, where you will help create a safe and nurturing environment for their youngest learners. This nursery focuses on creating a positive, enabling environment.
Role Overview:As a Nursery Teacher you will play a crucial role in the early childhood development of young children, typically ages 3 to 4. The role focuses on creating a safe, nurturing, and educational environment. This is a pivotal stage in early childhood development, and you will play an integral role in supporting the children's emotional, social, and cognitive development through play-based learning. You will work closely with the all the EYFS team to ensure clear progression from toddler all the way through to reception.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality and engaging learning opportunities for children 3-4 years old, in a warm and nurturing environment
- Observe and support the development of young children through play and age-appropriate activities
- Create and maintain detailed records of children's progress and development
- Work closely with parents to ensure the needs of each child are met and share regular updates on their development
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times
- Follow safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating nursery room that supports the children's learning
Requirements:
- Must hold a Qualified Teacher Status
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Empathetic and open minded approach to working with families
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their early development
- Ability to observe, assess, and plan activities for young children to help their growth
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
