Care Home Business Manager up to 55k – Abbot Care Home

We have a great opportunity for a Care Home Business Manager for our Abbot Nursing and Care Home based in Harlow, Essex. Abbot Care Home is 117 bedroom all with ensuite bathrooms and the décor and furnishings of an intimate boutique hotel coupled with a real home from home atmosphere.

The main purpose of the position is to lead on all non-clinical aspects of the home, taking an active management role to ensure the smooth operation of each unit within the Care home on a day-to-day basis. You would be required to deputise for the Home Manager during annual leave and absence.

·        Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum.

·        45 hours a week – Monday to Friday.

This includes rota completion, managing individual team members’ performance, monitoring training completion and leading on the customer experience to ensure that all enquiries and interest is dealt with in a timely, professional and efficient manner.

Working closely with the Home Manager, Clinical Team and wider teams to develop and maintain a high-quality nursing and care service that meets registration, legislation, company policies, procedures and quality measures. Also, you’ll be key in developing a cohesive team which includes the domestic, laundry and catering Teams.

You will need to have previous Team Leader, Senior Carer or Deputy Manager experience within a care home setting and a qualification equivalent to Level 5 or Level 3 with proven experience.

About the role of Care Home Business Manager

·        Facilitate and participate in non-clinical meetings and other professional meetings.

·        Support with safeguarding investigations, reports and outcomes and liaise with all stakeholders as required in line with Policies and Procedures.

·        Completion of CQC notifications as required in line with Policy, Procedure and regulation

·        Support with the recruitment of new team members when required.

·        Ensure any grievances, disciplinaries and/or appeals and terminations are managed with the Home Manager and HR where necessary.

·        Completion of supervisions and appraisals with the ancillary teams.

·        Manage the Customer enquiry process to incorporate training for team members within the home to ensure that all new enquiries are treated with urgency, support & understanding.

·        AS part of the enquiry process - undertake a comprehensive and person-centred assessment of new referrals ensuring collaboration with all relevant agencies/parties involved.

· Continue to assess once the resident is with us to ensure their individual care plans are continually updated to reflect their personal requirements on our electronic systems.

·        Work in collaboration with other professionals, relatives and interested parties to continually enhance the quality of care delivered.
