Our client, a family-owned construction company is looking for a Finance Manager to join their growing team. The Finance Manager will manage and oversee the financial operations of the business.
The responsibilities of the Finance Manager include but are not limited to the following:
- Bank reconciliation, cashflow, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Manage VAT returns, CIS returns, payroll (external company) and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Lead the preparation of quarterly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Provide analysis and recommendations on financial performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Streamline and improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency.
Skills, Experience & Key Candidate Attributes of the Finance Manaher:
- Strong experience in a similar finance role, ideally within an SME environment.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Good knowledge of accounting software (Sage).
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on improving financial processes.
- Knowledge of construction industry-specific finance practices.
