About Us:

Our specialist SEN school in Harlow is dedicated to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive environment where children with a wide range of additional needs can thrive. We are known for our positive, child-centred approach and our commitment to ensuring every pupil is valued and supported to reach their full potential.

At our school, we believe that education should be a joyful and enriching experience for every child, no matter their abilities. Our dedicated and caring staff work together to create a welcoming and dynamic learning environment, where every child is given the opportunity to succeed and feel confident in their learning.

The Role:

As a Primary Teacher in our school, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality education to our pupils, tailoring lessons to meet the individual needs of each child. You will be part of a passionate team that works collaboratively to support the development of every pupil, ensuring that they have the tools they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Whether you're starting your teaching career or have years of experience, you will receive all the training and support you need to succeed in this incredibly rewarding role.

In this role, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of pupils with SEND, ensuring that every child can access the curriculum and make progress.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment, where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to participate in their learning journey.
  • Work closely with support staff, including teaching assistants and external specialists, to provide personalised support to each pupil.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting your teaching strategies to meet the needs of each child and ensure they are progressing towards their goals.
  • Liaise with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's development and working collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, sharing resources, ideas, and best practices to help create an inclusive and supportive school environment for all.

What We're Looking For:

We welcome applications from both newly qualified teachers (NQTs) and experienced teachers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with SEND. You don't need to be an expert in SEN just yet-what matters most is your dedication, enthusiasm, and a desire to help every child succeed.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A passion for working with children with special educational needs and a desire to provide a high-quality, child-centred education.
  • The creativity and enthusiasm to deliver lessons that inspire and engage young learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • A reflective and proactive attitude, with a commitment to continuous professional development and a desire to improve your teaching practice.
  • Patience, resilience, and creativity-essential qualities for supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented approach, with the ability to work well with colleagues and support staff.

Why Join Us?
