Job Purpose:

Do you know what a gudgeon pin is? If yes, keep reading! We’re looking for a dynamic Claims Team Manager to lead our client’s Claims department. This role requires someone who can manage, develop, guide, and coach a team in line with the company’s values, ensuring they are proactive, positive, versatile, and adaptable to the quickly changing needs of the business. Bring your mechanical know-how and leadership skills to a role where both are crucial! Training can be provided for the insurance aspects of the role, provided you have strong mechanical/technical automotive knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain open communication with all department managers and ensure effective team communication.
  • Continuously meet and review Scheme contractual SLAs to ensure high quality and service delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Uphold quality standards through regular call listening, feedback, training, and performance management.
  • Adjudicate claims accurately, conduct regular audits, and monitor claim spends.
  • Ensure staff are well-trained to handle all customer service queries effectively.
  • Drive team performance and innovation within a target-driven environment.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, manage performance issues, and facilitate effective inter-departmental communication.
  • Handle escalated customer interactions and manage referrals efficiently.
