Regional Health and Safety Partner (South-East)
Location: Hybrid - Bedford, Stowmarket & Harlow
Salary: ~ 55,000 + Car Allowance + Milage + Additional Benefits
We've been engaged by a leading Nationwide Fresh Produce Distribution Company to recruit a Regional Health and Safety Partner. This role is specifically focused on working alongside Operation Managers and the wider HSE Team to drive a positive Health and Safety initiatives throughout the business.
Responsibilities of the Regional Health and Safety Partner will include:
- Providing the subject-matter expertise, leadership and coaching to build safety & health capability across the site.
- Ensure the site is compliant with UK legislation and in line with the overall UK strategy for Health and Safety.
- Engaging with members of staff at all levels across the site to improve awareness and commitment to Health and Safety issues.
- Managing a regular audit and inspection programme, assessing Health and Safety performance and identifying any areas of improvement.
- Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders including contractors, regulators, and enforcement agencies as required.
The successful Regional Health and Safety Partner will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a related logistics, warehousing or distribution environment
- Ideally NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (or working towards) and Membership of IOSH or other relevant professional body.
- A strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation.
- An enthusiastic and positive approach to health and safety.
